Physical Therapists

Sharon founded Advantage Sports Medicine in 1990. She is a graduate of the University of Lowell, Physical Therapy, 1985 and became certified as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association in 1985.
Sharon is an American Physical Therapy Association Board Certified specialist in Sports Physical Therapy.
Sharon has lectured on ACL rehabilitation and has completed advanced study in Canine Physical Therapy.
Sharon is an avid mountain biker and she is an active NEMBA member.

Joyce has been with Advantage since its origin in 1990. A graduate of Quinnipiac College in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training (1985), Joyce completed an Advanced Masters in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Doctor in Physical Therapy from the MGH-Institute of Health Professions, Boston (1993, 2003). Joyce is an APTA Board Certified Specialist in both Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. She has been certified as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 1987.
Joyce has served as Adjunct Faculty in the Graduate Physical Therapy Program at Simmons College. She serves as Center Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE) for Advantage overseeing clinical instruction for students in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training.
Joyce is published in text and in the APTA's professional journal: Physical Therapy, in the areas of Gait and Balance. She specializes in the rehabilitation of orthopedic and sport injuries, biomechanical evaluation, and the fabrication of custom orthotics.
Joyce is a certified Professional Ski Instructor with the Professional Ski Instructors Association (alpine, telemark). She also supports the NEMBA.
- Kerri Lang, PT, DPT

Kerri has been an integral member of the Physical Therapy staff at Advantage since 1998. She received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Simmons College, Boston in 1994 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH-Institute of Health Professions in 2007.
Kerri enjoys mountain biking, skiing and playing basketball. She recently completed her first season officiating college women's basketball.

Lori received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brandeis University in 1991 and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 1998. She is published in the APTA's Journal of Orthopedic Physical Therapy for research performed on ACL rehabilitation.
Lori enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and skiing. She supports the Appalachian Mountain Club and NEMBA.

Athletic Trainers
- Zoey Whitaker, ATC, CSCS

Zoey is a Certified Athletic Trainer and graduate of the University of Vermont, 2007. Zoey provides Athletic Training services to Stoneham High School. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also a certified CPR instructor with the American Red Cross. Zoey enjoys snowboarding, dance and being outdoors.
